Dragon Well from Mei Jia Wu Village "Superior"
| The "Superior" class is the medium class of Dragon Well from the village of Mei Jia Wu, and in comparison with the higher class has slightly larger leaves and a coarser character of classic green tea, whilst it nevertheless lacks none of the attributes of quality Dragon Well. Its typical taste isaccompanied with a strong, inimitable taste, which is retained also with further infusions. The flat, narrow leaves have the same light green colour as the infusion. The tea contains a large quantity of active substances with beneficial medicinal properties, antidioxins and amino acids, which have a very stimulating effect on the organism, and as a result this tea is predetermined for morning and afternoon drinking. Since time immemorial the village of Mei Jia Wu has been the centre of all Long Jing teas. Close to the village is the old Long Jin monastery, and one of the theories surrounding the origin of the name Dragon Well is that the name of this monastery was the inspiration for the naming of teas from the West Lake area. |

| Prepare tested water for the tea infusion with which you have experience, or use ordinary tap water which has been left standing for a sufficient period, preferably overnight, ideally rid of chlorine. Rinse the teapot and cups with hot water. Use approx. 2g of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) for each 150ml of infusion or to taste. Brew the necessary quantity of tea in hot water at a temperature of 75-85°C for a period of 1 minute for the first and second infusions. With further infusions progressively extend the brewing time. |
