Dragon Well from Mei Jia Wu Village "Supreme"
| The village of Mei Jia Wu is located in the region around the West Lake in the surroundings of the town of Hangzhou (the Chinese like to say that thanks to its beauty it is the closest place to heaven inhabited by man). Since time immemorial it has been known that the best quality Dragon’s well tea originates from this region, of which Mei Jia Wu is the centre. This Dragon Well tea originates from a small farm directly in the village, which according to legend is supplied by water from the Well of the Dancing Dragon. A look into this well when the sun’s rays are at the right angle revelas a dancing dragon on the surface of the water, which according ot legend is the reason for the origin of the name “Dragon Well”. “Supreme” class is the highest class, and offers a very strong aroma and taste typical for these teas, in comparison with lower classes the leaves are smaller, and the proportion of active substances and amino acids is higher. The tea provides several infusions, over the course of which its taste and aroma develops. |

| Prepare tested water for the tea infusion with which you have experience, or use ordinary tap water which has been left standing for a sufficient period, preferably overnight, ideally rid of chlorine. Rinse the teapot and cups with hot water. Use approx. 2g of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) for each 150ml of infusion or to taste. Brew the necessary quantity of tea in hot water at a temperature of 75-85°C for a period of 1 minute for the first and second infusions. With further infusions progressively extend the brewing time. |
